Whether you have an iPhone or an Android, we can go through the basics like how to send text messages and use specific apps, or more advanced knowledge, like digging into your settings.
Setting up and using email
You’ll learn to send, receive, and organize your emails, whether you use Yahoo, Gmail, or even AOL.
Avoiding Scams
Whether you’ve been scammed in the past, know someone who has, or you’re just aware of the dangers, we’ll cover everything you need to know about safely using technology.
We can stick to posting and messaging, or cover joining groups and liking pages. You can learn how to sell things on the Marketplace or find nearby events to attend.
Video Calling
We can go over video calls with apps like FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Meet. We’ll decide whether using your phone or using a computer webcam is best for you.
AI Chatbots
You’ll learn about the best way to pose questions, what chatbots are good at and where they struggle, and the little things here and there that they can be really helpful.

Backing Up Files
Whether you have years of photos that are only on your phone or want to automatically back up your computer daily, we can make sure your most important files are safely in multiple places.
Passwords
We can review the ins and outs of the all-important password, making secure ones, using password managers, and resetting forgotten ones.
Printers
If you have a new printer, I can set it up, or if something’s gone wrong, I can troubleshoot.
Setting up a new phone, tablet, or computer
If this is your first device, I’ll set everything up and cover the basics with you. We can download applications, learn to use built-in cameras, or learn how to use your internet browser of choice.
Cloud Storage
From the iCloud to Google Drive to DropBox, we can go over the “cloud” services that back up your files remotely, over the internet. We’ll make sure all of your devices are backed up.
Modems and Routers
A modem brings the internet into your home, and a router connects it to your devices. Whether you need to set one up or fix it, we can get you back online.
